When is remote learning provided?

At Huish Episcopi Primary School, remote learning is provided on an individual basis where appropriate. This may be agreed following discussion with the Headteacher, for example where a pupil is unable to attend school for a specific reason but is still able to access and engage with learning at home.

Remote learning may also be provided in exceptional circumstances where the school is unable to provide education on site, such as during a significant closure or a situation similar to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our aim is to ensure that pupils continue to access suitable learning while they are unable to attend school, while recognising that remote learning is not intended to replace regular attendance at school.
