Mathematics

Through Maths pupils develop their abilities in logical reasoning, problem solving and abstract thinking. We aim to produce children who are numerate and confident with a whole range of mathematical concepts. All classes are timetabled for a daily mathematics session of up to an hour a day. We expect all children to develop a good knowledge of number facts, including times tables. We have a times tables award scheme where children work systematically from stage 1 to 5. This scheme requires children to practise their times tables regularly at home.
