Reception class is situated in the Elliot classroom at the top of the site next to the Children’s Centre. The remaining classes are in the main school building.
Each year after May 31st children’s classes are decided for the next academic year. When deciding on children’s class groupings we take into account age, a balance of attainment across the classes, concentration levels and friendship groups. We use our judgement to ensure there is the right blend for developing the learning of all pupils. For most of the time the children are taught by their ‘class’ teacher, although other staff will be timetabled to teach the class at certain times.
