Welcome Back!

Welcome back to the new academic year at Huish Episcopi Primary school! The children have returned looking very smart and we are very pleased with how quickly they are settling into their new classes, although the full school day has meant some of our youngest pupils were very tired by Friday afternoon!

There are a number of new faces on the staff and also amongst the pupils in key stage 1 and 2. We have welcomed Miss Wain, Ms Green and Mrs Woodcock to the staff and welcomed mrs webber back- she just could not stay away! Our new pupils are gradually finding their way around and we are pleased to see they are making friends and settling into their class groups really well.

Details of after school clubs will be sent out next week. These will start after Years 5 and 6 return from the Greatwood camp which is now only a week away! Instrument lessons also start next week, details of these were sent out today.

Staff will be sending out curriculum newsletters shortly which will include details of the homework programme. We will also be sending out the Home School agreement again so that we can all commit again to partnership working - we really want your child to get the very best from the education we offer and we cannot do it without your support!

Book bags will be going on sale towards the end of next week.

In the meantime if you have any queries please do not hesitate to speak to your child's teacher, either before 9am or make an appointment for after school.
