Exciting happenings!

It has been an excellent end of term. Healthy Living Week was a great success with all of the children having the opportunity to get cooking in our new community room. We are all very excited by this wonderful new resource... the potential for using this room is endless and we are determined to make all of our pupils excellent cooks who enjoy exploring and appreciating different sorts of food. Langport's answer to Jamie Oliver could be on their way....

The talents of our pupils and their families came to the fore with our Easter Bonnet and egg decorating competitions. The judging was an absolute nightmare.....so difficult to choose when the standards were so high! Thank you very much for all of your enthusiasm and effort.

Northmoor class enjoyed their afternoon when they joined with the Children's Centre for Easter festivities and an egg hunt. Aller class performed beautifully at the Huish Dance Festival. The staff are so proud of you!

Well done as well to Isle class who had a wonderful time at the Tutankhamun exhibition in Dorchester. Mrs Atkins and Mra Ward said it was a real pleasure to take you out.

We held our end of term assembly on the last morning and the proceedings were enlivened by a visit from Jeff Cracknell who lead the assembly and brought along 3 tiny chicks who were unveiled during the assembly from a giant egg. This gave meaning to the Easter message of new life.

Work is now completed on the pathways at the top of the site and a new electronic gate system should be completed by the time we return. Now all we need is a new bike shed.....

And finally, just in case you hadn't guessed.......the 50 free pinching alarm clocks were an April Fool!!!

Have a wonderful holiday and see you back on 19th April.
