Re-opening-Tuesday 12th January
We plan to re-open tomorrow as the plumbing problem on the lower part of the site has been fixed. As I write, there are still problems at the top of the site and unless this is fixed before the end of the day, we will teach the youngest children in the spare room in the main school building.
I would like to thank the staff and governors who have done what they can to alleviate the situation. The teaching staff, as you will have seen, have posted ideas on the website for the children to do. Mr Van Hooft has given up a lot of time over the weekend to help solve the site problems and has continued to do a great job today to prepare the site for re-opening. Other staff have also been busy behind the scenes with offers of help and doing extra to prepare for tomorrow.
Unfortunately the weather forecast is not too promising and it seems more snow may be on the way by the end of the school day. It is at times like this that we are all reminded of the importance of having certain arrangements in place and if your emergency contact details have changed or you would like to check the arrangements we currently have on file, please contact the school office tomorrow.
As we are currently not offering skiing, snowboarding or the like, our after school club programme will not start until the weather improves!
