Expectations
We have also been thinking about how to be good learners. As well as making suggestions about our learning environment at school, and following our class rules, we are all trying to eat breakfast in the morning and get a good nights sleep – adults included!
Organisation
We need to make sure we have our learning kit – our book bags with our reading books inside, a water bottle, and a complete PE kit at school with us every day. PE kits should come into school on a Monday and should not go home until Friday.
Every day we practise our phonics. We use our phonics all the time, but especially in our daily Guided Reading sessions where we are developing our reading skills. We apply these in our home reading books, and can change these on a Monday and Thursday if we have finished the book at home.
We enjoy daily Literacy and Maths lessons, exploring each of these subjects in different ways, often using practical apparatus to help us.
Communication
Miss Wain is always pleased to have mums and dads in to help, especially with trips, and the office can help with CRB clearance. If you want to talk to Miss Wain about one of us then she is available on the playground every morning for a quick chat, or you can arrange to see her after school.
We have an exciting half-term ahead and we can’t wait to get learning!
